i first got put on to this song by the Kenny Lattimore version from the MArvin Gaye Tribute album back in like 99.



Kenny's version was nice, but too polished.

But then after hearing the original Marvin version it was so RAW, especially the end with the "we tried.....now it's too late"

This is a good cover, I'd never heard this before until just now

But I agree, it's also too polished, Marvin's was more raw

What's crazy is she co-wrote the OG version of "Just To Keep You Satisfied" with Marvin and it was a straight love song. After they split he went back and reworked it into a break up song. His vocals were just so raw you could feel his mixed emotions of joy, pain, relief, disappointment. It's just so raw.
