Thanks for posting.
If a movie was made about BWS, I feel like it could inspire young Aframs in many ways while exposing the hypocrisy of this country especially when it comes to the "pull your selves of from the bootstraps" phrase that many uninformed people like to echoe without understanding history.
Cacs REALLY don’t want ppl to know about BWS. If I didn’t have African American History classes coming up in school, I woulda never learned about it. shyt it’s ppl from OK that dk about it
I agree. We had so many "Black Wallstreets" -- that's what we need to get out. Cause it just wasn't a one time thing -- we did it over and over and they (whites) kept coming in being jealous and demonic.
We had rosewood the movie but it wasn't big as it could have been... I'm surprised the BWS movie was never made...
Muthafukkas got da resources but way too scared to rock da boat.
Wasn't there a town in NC that was even bigger than this one?
The community was called the Hayti community; nicknamed that as a tribute to those black men and women who were revolting in Haiti in the Caribbean
They need to do one for rosewood too
I also like to brag on the many AA uprisings that took place in NC.
I like to say I get my strong pride from being around the area where a lot of racial revolts popped off. In Greensboro; in particular A&T, you had the Greensboro 4 sit at an all white place for food, the Gboro massacre that took place when cops took fire on activists at the old dorms my pop stayed at when he attended the university. In my hometown, you’ve still got AA neighborhoods holding strong against gentrification, and all up and down east NC you have strong black communities.

Gus interviewed the guy who made the doc about it.
Also, remember it was hundreds of these all over.
There's a reason why CaC Devils bury our prosperous histroy during slavery times
This is why we were tricked into integration
