A gunman aiming from an upper floor of a Las Vegas hotel unleashed a barrage of automatic gunfire on an outdoor concert festival across the street, killing more than 50 people and wounding at least 400 others on Sunday night, officials said.
Concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest Festival ran and ducked for cover as the gunman opened fire from the hotel, the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, shortly after 10 p.m, according to initial reports. Thousands of people fled the area.

Shortly before midnight, several SWAT teams were sent to the 32nd floor of the Las Vegas hotel, where the shooter was believed to be, and found him dead, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot, the police said. Joseph Lombardo, the Clark County sheriff, said the man had at least 10 rifles in the room.
The gunman was identified as Stephen Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Paddock was believed to be the only shooter. The police also said they had located a female person of interest named Marilou Danley, who was described as the shooter’s “companion” and “roommate.”

Jesus, im reading hundreds of shots were fired... what the fukk?
This is the first shooting where I was more concerned about religion of the shooter than I was the gun control frenzy thats coming later.
These are truly frightening times we live in.
Please dont let the shooter be muslim.
I was about to say that it was going to be some minority and we would expect to hear from concerned white people about those damned <insert> minorities. If it was a white 64 year old white dude that did it for non-political reasons I'd be very surprised. Of course, it means that it won't get talked about in conservative/repub circles.
