:ohhh::mjcry:

breh, why did blacks not follow his route with the independent thing? Even in the internet age it's a no brainer not to sign a deal to a major. P started a damn economic base that put tons of black folks to work. The system wasn't happy and used Cash Money to create a fake rivalry and destroy No Limit.

:whoo:

Thought I was the only one who considered this.

I wouldn't equate him to garvey though, even though I still know what you mean. Garvey had ships for transporting goods breh. He was on a whole nother level.

Of course, P was like Garvey and Elijah Muhammad in the sense he was like, eff corporations I`m going to create my own label, sports agency, businesses, etc. He was one of the only people who were truly independent, while everyone else was flexing with an imprint on a Major. It's sick how the media made people turn on P. Like look at the BS Wayne was tweeting today, how you an artist and can't release albums when you want? P was dropping CDs for even his most trash artist dang near every week.

Mac Dre >>>>>>>>>>>Master P

Mac Dre is credit with showing not only P the independent grind but Tech N9ne as well. With the hold Thizz Nation and then Thizz Latin Movement. Not to mention those artist venturing off and doing they own thing (J Diggs is one). And a slew of other artist from out west.

I credit bout P and Cash Money as being influential in the south though.

Dre while maybe have done a lot had zero nationwide buzz. P was making noise in every city in America, I literally never heard of Mac Dre till the early 2000s when I got the internet. God Bless the dead but that Hyphy stuff is terrible.

I know about P starting out in Richmond, but saying Mac Dre is better or had a stronger movement is blasphemy lol.

Thizz movement doesn't exist. lol a Movement is something that takes off on a large scale, because something is hot in the city it started in or region doesn't make it a movement. ie.Migos is being played in every city, they have a movement. I can't even name a Thizz artist of now or yesteryear. Not trying to come off harsh but it I`m just saying bruh lol

How much of migos success isnt payola bruh. A "Thizz Movement" doesnt exist "lol . I agree and diagree with that statement because what started out as Thizz has transcended in the likes of The Jacka & Mob Figaz, Keak Da Sneak, Mistah FAB. Jacka who just drop something and Mistah Fab who drop something under Stan Pablo. Thru Jacka label he introduce Joe Blow (who consider by some to be the next best thing from Oakland).
