IpMan has became a house-hold name thanks to the likes of Donnie Yen and Wilson Yip bringing the Bruce Lee teacher to the big screen. Though only a few of the films capture bits and pieces of his life, the add on story-line and action made the films classics in their own right. If you seen Ip Man 3: The ending fight scene between Man and Master Z is phenomenal, this film starts off maybe a few days after the infamous fight. Master Z after the devastating loss( to him it was ) picks up and starts a new life elsewhere in Hong Kong, he can't seem to shake trouble when it lurks around town. He ends up saving a drug addict and her sister from being beat by a local drug dealer and starts to become a target of attacks.

This film is really good but for some reason it lacks the fire as the previous films have had. Yuen Woo Ping is known for his action choreography( Some of best ever) but him directing films are a hit and miss throughout his career. Here it shows alittle through scenes. The fight scenes vary from ok to dope as fukk and it comes and goes throughout the film. Michelle Yeoh still got it and David Bautista did extremely well with the fights scenes....Best one is Z vs. Bautista. Tony Jaa is dope but the scope of his character is extremely limited and not utilized in this film. There are some stereotypical scenes in this film but they don't hurt the film too much.

I think IP man 1 was a classic and IP man 2 was :patrice: and didn't even realize IP man 3 was out
Does this one have any Donnie Yen appearance at all? I know its supposed to be a spinoff

Here is the thing...there are 2 offshoot IPman films as well and dont have Donnie in them that came out before IPM3 with Donnie and Mike Tyson.
