Mayweather and Pacquiao blowing the opportunity to fight each other in their primes.
To elaborate, the moment is lost. From about the time PacMan defeated ODLH to approximately when he first faced Timothy Bradley, we had something really special on our hands: 2 all-time greats in the same weight division and at the red-hot primes of their careers. This never happened.
It's as if went straight to Leonard-Hearns II without having a I. Alternatively, if one views PBF as still in his red-hot prime (a reasonable opinion, but not one I hold) we have something closer to Tyson-Holmes. I mean, 2 red hot prime fighters in the same weight class and at this skill level is something very rare.
The fight occurred course, but I was terribly disappointed - like most people.
Lakers/Heat - Potential Finals in 2011
Even though the Lakers team was past it's prime and had gotten swept by the Mavericks in the 2nd round anyway (not surprisingly though), it still would have been intriguing to see the Lakers and Heat go at it in the Finals - and this way their best chance of meeting each other (Lebron/Kobe). May have been the highest rated Finals ever.
