Matt Ryan Criticizes Kyle Shanahan's Play-Calling During Super Bowl LI

Matt Ryan is still looking for answers as to how the Falcons blew a 25-point lead in Super Bowl LI.

Can you blame him?

In an interview with CBS Sports' Pete Prisco, Ryan said the play-calling from offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan was frustrating.

Ryan referenced the play-calling was slow from Shanahan, and also questioned his decisions after the Falcons had gotten inside field goal range late in the fourth quarter with a chance to ice the game.

"With the way Kyle's system was set up, he took more time to call plays and we shift and motion a lot..." Ryan said. "We talk about being the most aggressive team in football. And I'm all for it. But there's also winning time. You're not being aggressive not running it there."

The Patriots, of course, went on to win the game 34-28 in overtime to capture their fifth Super Bowl title in team history.

As for Ryan, this loss will haunt him for the rest of his career.

He's right. He somehow managed to remain tight lipped long enough but he can't contain how he feels anymore. As everyone watched the game, the playcalling got worse and people were stunned that they went away from what worked.
