Mavs Fans: Is Cooper Flagg Going to Surpass Luka Doncic?

I don't know if he will be better or more dominant on offense but the overall game will be better than Luka's with him being a future All Defensive player. The Mavs for sure have a guy they can build around for the next 10-15 years barring anything happening to him injury wise.

You can’t rip a player like that out of a city unless it’s them forcing their way out. Otherwise everything collapses

They would boycott the team (which they started to do) and in a big market like Dallas that’s a bad look. That’s way too much money going down the tube

The rig job was blatant but necessary…and fans in Dallas who never asked for that shyt can actually be excited to follow their team again.

Too early to say but Jason Kidd was also the perfect coach for Flagg. Kid always had hustle but he is really developing into an elite 2 way player.

At this point I’m not sure Kyrie will be a big part when he comes back. I can see him getting traded to assist in the rebuild

I wouldn’t be surprised if Kyrie & Cooper never play a game together

Also he's in shape and doesn't have horrible body language constantly arguing with refs or showing emotions that throw teammates under the bus
Obviously there is a huge amount of future projection going on, but I'd rather build around Flagg than Doncic

I agree. My point was more that they'll get a real PG in there and move him to his natural position. That'll be when we can really assess what he'll be

Luka's feel for offense is at an elite level and he's shown that since his rookie year.

Cooper looks more athletic and you can tell he works on his game but he's not a natural scorer like Luka. Better defender though.
