im with you but if you got Maxey who stepped up defensively, Grimes is 6'4 and can defend, and u bring in 6'5 athletic VJ...the writings on the wall for McCain. Morey is already on record saying he doesnt believe in a Maxey/McCain backcourt...McCain is on borrowed time in Philly i think

If this team was close to a real competitor at deadline (and McCain didn’t tear his shyt), I wouldn’t have been shocked if he thought about selling high to shore up the rotation.

Only thing is that it’s really hard to give up a GOOD rookie scale contract when you’re tax fukked like Philly.

If the 30 or so games we saw with that Nurse offense at the beginning wasn’t fraudulent, I’d think they could make a Maxey/Tre back court work. But it’s clear you really need a PG to optimize the mishmash of shyt they got going on.

Really Maxey’s inability to be that type of guy consistently affects the pick they want to make here as much as anything.

Excellent point. Thats why i want Harper so bad. He's 6'6 PG that gets to the rim and finishes at an ELITE level . If the offense ever stalls he'll get to the line like Harden or drive and kick to a corner shooter. McCain showed flashes but he's 3 inches shorter.

one of these nikkas will get a rin this year, and they all can run a half court offense. Maxey isnt built for that. He needs to be offball.

You bet on your teams development and culture. You got guys who work like Maxey, Edwards, McCain and Embiid.

The infrastructure is there for you to draft him and mold him. He won’t have the pressure to come in and drop 20 a game either.

We just seen undrafted Justin Edwards and slow ass Yabu eat off the open looks in Philly. Ace will thrive in that role without a handle. Plus he can help as a weakside rim protector...something JE/Yabu cant do

He wont see doubles with McCain, Maxey, PG, Embiid on the court so itll be Ace vs. the 3rd or 4th best defender

I havent seen any good trade back scenerios so its a no brainer for me at this point
