Experience something new, go with your pop to NC. Enjoy Waffle House and being around more blacks than your used to.

San Diego to Greensboro though:what:
When you're born and raised somewhere, it's not that special to you and it can become dull over time. This should be common sense but common sense isnt so common on here

It's healthy to experience different cultures. OP has been on that west coast wave since he was born. Now he wants to experience the deep south

my alma matar getting a football team!!!!???

I think breh let the cat out of the bag. I can't find any news of this even online. That's a good look for 'G though.

OP I say go for it! But I'll keep it real, coming from Cali, NC will be a shock to you. You're going from a city of 1 million+ people to a one with a population of 300k. The culture, vibe, people, and pace will be totally different than SD. Not that this is a bad thing per se but you should be aware. You sound young so there's no better time than to get out and explore a new area just for the experience especially since you'll be only be here a short time. You'll never be able to appreciate any place until you expand your perspective that's why I say do it.

The pace will be slower, but its not a totally dead or rural town by any means. I agree with the phrase "if you're bored, you're boring." BAsically if you got people skills and get out and meet folks, you can always find things to do. So many colleges/students, there's always a party or event going on. With your dad coaching, you shouldnt have a problem meeting people. I'm not even gonna lie, you'll be eating GOOD, breh :noah:. Uncg got some bad chicks and you got the largest and best HBCU right down the street (A&T muhfugga!) Raleigh and charlotte are both like an hour 1/2 drive if you wanna check different cities. A couple more hours to the beach and mountains. Decent restaurant scene, a few lounge spots, ratchet clubs, college parties. It is what you make it.

Just make sure you hit up Dames' Chicken and Waffles on MLK when you come through. You will thank me, breh.
