Take Cuomo’s run for governor in 2010. Meanwhile, neighborhoods with high-income white households, like Park Slope and Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn, had the highest turnout, with 44.3% voting.

What the actual text of the NYT article says is that Chi Ossé was talking within earshot of reporters about potentially challenging Jeffries, and Mamdani said "don't talk about that here yet" which is a perfectly reasonable thing to say.

In NYC we pay city tax in addition to state and federal. He wants to raise the tax by 2% on anyone making over $1 million. Right now the highest amount is 3.876% for anyone making over $50,001. So someone making $5 million and someone making $50,000 are paying the same percentage. His idea is honestly reasonable and people are losing their fukking minds over it. Make it make sense.
