Pac was the whole reason why they even got the budget for Menace smh dude had every right to be pissed at the Hughes brothers for goin back on their word once they got the money.

Worst part is..most of these nikkaz 40, 50 years old and haven't accomplished a third of what he did or displayed half the talent and brilliance he did at 25.
None of these nikkaz had what he had, hence 20 years later they're still discussing him.

He was saying he wanted Sharif's story line to be more fleshed out instead of some nikka on set sounding like Chilly Willy every time it got hot.
Being that he was on of the reasons why the studio green lit the film why WOULDN'T he try and give input...GOOD input at that on how to make his part better?

Almost everyone in Menace II Society was unknown at the time it came out (which added to its authenticity because people thought O-Dog was for real), and the Hughes Brothers were mostly unknown too (aside from, ironically, a few 2Pac music videos that they directed).
'Pac's affiliation to the project would have helped it get greenlit as he was more known for movies at that point in time.
(I'm not disagreeing with your thinking that Sharief was a small part that he was going to play but I think I remember that he actually wanted to play O-Dog but got kicked off the project by then).

Eiht said that they didn't want Pac in the movie but had to put him in it, which is why they gave him a lesser role as opposed to O-Dogg.
Having common sense, he thought it would be better if they fleshed out Sharif turning to Islam instead of having to assume why he's the oddball nikka hanging around a bunch of gang bangers with funny hats and bean pies. They gave very little context to that in the movie and it would have made it that much better to go deeper into his rationale. But like I said...you ain't watch that, you came in and co-signed the click bait culture vulture ass title.
