It made financial sense to do it before any fight for 15 or mininum wage hike..

THEY WERE GOING TO DO IT IRREGARDLESS :skip:
No it idn't make financial sense to do it until there was pressure to do it, if they could reduce their cost like any other aspect of business, and say not have the regulatory burden to increase the cost, you wouldn't even have the financial incentive to invest in automation, it isn't until there is a viable business reason to do so, or a cost benefit in doing so, that it becomes attractive.

Regulation made automation attractive, and now there is no going back, another avenue of labor for the unskilled has been removed.

There's clearly a recoup on that investment or they wouldn't be doing it. as it stands, there's a recoup on even federal min wage.

McDonald's is massive. As a result they will recoup much faster when it comes to automation.
Yes there is a recoup, in the present environment. Again my argument is that it didn't have to be cost beneficial if there wasn't regulation that caused it to be so.

Yes McDonalds is massive, they argued, and Wal-Mart as well, and a lot of the bigger industries, they argued for a raise in mimum wage to keep out new competitors, then they switch to automation. Its funny and sad at the same time.

That wasn't a response to your post, so why would it.
Try to read and keep up.

Machines require massive investment in technology with no immediate recoup on that investment.
Its only a move neccessary, the investment and eventual implementation , if costs can not go down or you expect cost of labor to rise.

You put any business, in any industry, in the same situation, again look at former elevator operator industry, the same thing will happen, people will take that lost in investment for their own sake and you will get the low skilled jobs automated and pushed out, for monetary reasons.

He said it was always going to happen, regardless of the social movements that have you in your feelings. You made no argument to the contrary.

Yup, it was always going to happen, if anything the push for 15, may have pushed the timelines to the left a bit faster, but it wasn't stopping the inevitable :manny:

What a quick and easy way to show you are incapable of presenting a logical argument, to support your contention.

Yes, I know what he posted, and if you read what I posted, you would see my contention is that it wasn't going to always happen and political pressure caused it to happen.

Pretty simple, if you know how to read english.
