This is almost on every hiring / recruiting website for jobs since the 90s

Almost every job ive worked from Champs sports to Chase Bank seeks this and also even gives higher wages for bilingual employees

Also bilingual doesnt mean English and Spanish as some are implying in here... it means versed in 2 or more languages, it can be any 2 or more languages.

This tells me youve never actually had a job before or youre looking for cheap internet daps

Either way a pathetic way to live life

Dog this is MCDONALDS.. not Chase bank or some Fortune 500 company. 99% of employees in my area of McD's are all Mexicans. "Bilingual is a plus" means different things at different companies -- at McD's it means don't waste your time applying unless your last name ends with a Z (Gomez, Lopez, Hernandez or Gonzalez).

It doesn't always, but depending on your area it can definitely mean English and Spanish. Especially in government jobs. That said, I was applying for a job and saw it was "bilingual preferred". Scrolled down further and saw they were looking for someone who spoke English and Armenian. Growing up in LA and having a mom who spoke spanish for her job I can speak and understand enough to scrape by if need be, but Armenian?? Lmao. Hell nah.
