I jus popped in 7 day theory last night. And bumped it all the way thru. Its was :wow:

But yet in still as I listen to this album from a grown man perspective and not a young teenager full of angst, I realize it has too much "thug reotoric :pacspit:" it had some trully amazing concepts, but overall it screams Pac "Trying to Hard"

The excessive cursing, shyt talking, subliminals, calling dre a fakkit in every other song :pachaha: , Overall its still a Amazing album. But it aint Pac's best.

Me against the world on the other hand :to::wow::noah::takedat::shaq:

You can tell that was the most honest pac was ever on the record. So many effortless timeless classics. If I die tonight, Temptations, Me Against The World, Young nikkas, Dear Mama.

And one of my favorite songs of all time "So Many Tears":win:

"Back in elementary, I thrived on misery, left me alone, I grew amongst a dying breed.....

Whole album was poetry in motion :ahh: , You can tell he poured his heart into most of these tracks

A truly classic American Album.

Me against the world is pacs finest album.

If I die tonight, so many tears, Lord knows, outlaw, me against the world, ect....not sure if I can say that. Hold ya head probably one of my all time favorite pac songs too.

A lot of the songs on MATW sound dated.

If I die tonight, Death around the corner is my favorite songs off of "MATW".

Pac was on a whole another level on 7 day theory, most of the songs still sound fresh. Classic.

:dwillhuh: at the OP mentioned how Pac was exessive with dissing Dre.

I thought I was the only one that found that to be annoying as well, dude was spamming his regular songs with disses and stupid shyt like "Bad boy killa" "random NYC rapper die slow!"

This is a tough one. I do like MATW for it's dark themes about life and redemption. But, "7 Day Theory" has similar dark themes about politics and revenge. It's a tough one.

Iono if you listen to 7 day as a grown up, you kinda look at Pac in a childish light. The shyt he was popping throughout the whole album was unnecessary.

However its kind of :ohhh::damn: status that Pac was only 23-24 when he was dropping these albums back in the day. Pac was mature waaaaay beyond his years. Its kinda of scary. A comparision in content between back then and now is.

Big Sean is 23

Drake is 25

Wiz Khalifa is 26

J.Cole is 28

And look at the trash albums they have been producing. Its mind boggling how the content of music has drastically dropped in the past decade.

I was going to come in here to argue this, but honestly, I think you're right after I really stop and think about it. I always held 7 Day Theory SO high, but I think it does fall below MAW now.

7 Day Theory was a POWERFUL album. You could really feel the anger in Pac's voice and delivery on this album. The dude was seriously PISSED OFF. The whole album was VERY cohesive, and just a had great flow to it. The ultimate thug album if you ask me.

MAW, a much more well-rounded, worldly album. Not everyone can identify with the anger in 7 Day Theory, but who can't love the story-telling and the poetry-like lyrics of MAW. MAW hits you in so many more places, and speaks on countless-more topics than 7 Day Theory.

Two VERY different albums if you ask me, but I'd have to give the edge to MAW.
