It just looks bad on so many fronts. first that they're desperate enough to give away their premier title for free and second that they'd do this three months in.
when you do it day one it doesn't look bad because it was always the plan but this clearly wasn't planned it's a reaction to the system sales dropping off a cliff. the bad part about it is many of the people that really wanted Titanfall likely already have an Xbox One or either plan to get it on the PC or 360. they aren't gonna bait people into buying an Xbox One by using a game that required you to buy Xbox Live Gold anyway.
people are already clowning them for this. The Xbox One has from its initial announcement to now been a series of misfires and mistakes. Next they're gonna drop Kinect and lower the price.
