As a manager who has managed multiple people (various personalities, even workers I did not like) you never get to the point of doing shyt like that. You are trained to walk away, and de escalate a situation. If you employee needs to clock out for x reason, for a meal/rest break and you can not stop them.
I would have filled in and took over the job, untill the employee came back, called somebody in early, or repositioned my shift to fill in the gap.
