I don’t think this was for the white supremacists though. Everyone acts like the purpose of this is to convert these people and not expose them, to their true core. It's hard for me to think that these people are much different than your average Trump voter. More outspoken I guess but otherwise that's how most are.

I feel you there. I’m still of the optimistic view that it’s not more than half the country but there aren’t many ways to figure that out without exposing them like this imo. I genuinely believe that there are plenty of Americans who don’t like immigrants etc but don’t realize they’re sided with people who want them dead and don’t believe in democracy etc.

medhi however was a bit argumentative himself on this occasion. he didn't do his homework vis-a-vis possible opponents.

And its like what do you accomplish? You win a common sense debate but youre inadvertently giving them credibility and clout by even entertaining their bullshyt in a debate.

There's alot of people that dont seem to recognize that mehdi's skill in debate, and understanding of social dynamics that are necessary to dismantle people, actually exposed and rattled these kids. Most of them WERE actually pretty well read by comparison to your average person; despite their views. They were far more educated than your typical on the street Trump voter.

But when faced against someone as aggressive as mehdi, they get rattled and default into say...extreme racisms and "so what's". He got them to reveal what they are.

Now you see alot of leftists pundits, that thought they were...smart. not contending with the idea that mehdi is simply better than they are at this; and instead chalk it up to "crazed debaters jubilee chose; why are we platforming this"
