Like think about it people essentially drink battery acid (cola) , put every shyt chemical under the sun that causes all types of cancer, ramen noodles, gatorade, sweet and low are all the worst shyt for you but how many people really think to themselves " Im sipping on battery acid right now" probably less than 1 percent. Now Im not saying I buy that the steroid guys didnt know (I dont give a fukk about roids anyway, people have been cheating since the beginning of time, the 51 giants stole signs to make up a 14 game lead on the dodgers and its fine because a cac record wasnt broken) , Im sure they knew but that argument of "I dont buy that you didnt know what you put in your body" foh most people dont realize all the shyt they put in their body. and most of these media are fat fukks

You have like 1/8th of a point, but the average person isn't gonna get suspended from their job and have their career tarnished for drinking Coke. These pro ballers gotta do better. :francis:

I believe sometimes they don't. A lot of medicines have a banned substance in them.
nikkas take the wrong cough medicine and get popped for a banned substance.
Now that could be the excuse they use about taking a wrong over the counter or prescription meds but I believe it does happen

theres a misconception that 'banned substances' come from shady doctors out of a briefcase...MANY are OTC stuff from your local supersupplements or GNC...OR INHALERS....or PREWORKOUTS and stuff...

and the dudes that 'were clearly taking roids like that grew to enormous size' who are you talking about. If you have a doctor that specializes in athletics, and you say "my rotator cuff and bicep hvae really gotten beat up over that past 3 seasons, i'm having trouble recovering from road trips" and they prescribe a series of massages, electric therapy, lotions and salves, and one of those has a steroid, its reasonable to think that you didn't know

now

it IS up to you to ask further questions

but, its fair to say that the typical player i describe didn't think to do so.

I mean this argument is fine. It furthers my point. Im just saying Im not so naive to think every player didnt know but at the same time who are they to accuse someone of not knowing what goes int heir body when 90 percent of people dont know in reality what goes in their body

The media aren't eating Ramen noodles to help them write better. Fanta isn't helping these nikkas improve their fact checking:francis:

When your body is your business, you have a responsibility to be aware of what is going into it. I think most of the guys using roids or HGH knew exactly what they were doing and I don't blame them :yeshrug:. Now I do think guys who get caught up with some of these supplements were unaware and they have an argument IMO. If I can buy it at GNC, why would I think it's banned? If I am taking something to help me get or keep it up, why would I associate that with banned substances? What it really comes down to is that a lot of these rules are stupid and guys who want an edge are gonna get it.

this has nothing to do with my argument though. Its whether the players knew they were taking a banned substance or not. They're asking players to do research that 99 percent of people dont do

naw I ain't buying that "I bought it over the counter" shyt anymore.
This is 2015 not 1999

these tests nowadays can determine the difference between some fukking cough medecine or someone taking PED's

The league doesn't care tho. If a test shows something banned in your system then even if it does come from a prescribed medicine that a player was taking legitimately they still see it as you cheating.

I know it has nothing to do with your argument but it's a horrible argument so I didn't want to actually respond to it. You compared performance enhancing drugs to Ramen noodles, breh. Think about that for a second. Who cares what the media believes? There are appeals processes involved when it comes to substance abuse/performance enhancing violations. Arbitration is available. The media isn't in charge of disciplining athletes so fukk whether they buy what a player has to say. But I'm gonna be hard pressed to seriously have a conversation where steroids is compared to Mountain Dew Code Red, breh:francis:
