This was damn near 10 years ago in MI and it was mad easy. I came in on some “my neck and my back” tip and the doctor looked at me like 
She asked if I ever had headaches, if I ever got sore anywhere, or if I couldn’t sleep and then took my $120 and a week later I had my card

I got mine in PA. I told him I have Crohn's disease, I actually do. I gave him my symptoms and he approved me for a card. I thought it'd be harder and need my medical records and all that but I didn't need it.

I got my friend to do it because I have a license to carry and you can’t have both in my state

I got mine from MMJ in Maryland. Pretty easy to get though, I just paid money set up appointment, explained my sexuality and was given Viagra and my MMJ card.
When I got one, all I did was walk in the building, make my appointment and request on the spot. Then went from the lobby to the "exam room", which was the only other room in the building, facetimed a doctor who was in Socal (I was in Frisco) for 15 minutes. Told him I had anxiety and insomnia. He asked some random questions that amounted to nothing and I paid him $50. Did all that and got my paperwork within 30 minutes and went right to Igzactly420 to cop a quarter.
I love California, even before it become recreational.
Weed has always been so abundant out here, I never even bothered getting a script when it first became totally legal lol. I was actually a member of possibly the first canibus club in america back in '98, all you needed was to be over 18 to get in. It was on ashby ave in berkeley, and I was in highschool then; I had a fake id that I had copped from the back of a donut shop that was running them out of their spot on market st out in the city
To answer your question op, you can probably just google a doctor that'll do it for a bs reason and a small fee or just ask your practitioner for one
