The labels are run by cacs by and large and they actually tell the artists not to rap anything that's anti-cop or anti-cac. But to keep churning out ignorant anti-Black nonsense. :mjpls:

As for supply and demand, people will dance to Malcolm X lyrics if the beat works. So the public's demand can change if the supply does.
Rappers have been getting signed with their own self produced music for over a decade now. You dudes and those old ass narratives.

"The white man made me do it" ass bullshyt. Dudes love escaping reality.

The same Meek Mill that never hesitates to brag about how he comes from the "trenches", how many bricks he's sold, how many nikkas he's robbed and how easily he can get you killed or harmed:ehh:.
And Got rich didn’t he?

I remembered the thread with Meek Mill vs Drake, and people said that Meek Mill was "for the people" and "repped the streets the best" and even "authentically black" while mocking and talking down on J Cole and Kendrick.

I think there's a large enough segment of hip-hop listeners that want ignorant bullshyt in their music that "the white man" can't really be blamed for this if we being 100% honest.
you can condition people to want certain things through repetition and positive/negative reinforcement. If you repeat the message that positive music is "lame" enough times, people will believe it

NWA became the face of rap with no airplay. Master P started a movement with no airplay. Labels and execs ain't got as much power as yall claim TBH
