Yup. I think most of it is just to be seen but there are really some nikkas out there like "She's so talented but I cant get over the fact that she's twerking on IG. Why cant she just rap? Why does she have to shake her azz too? "

Pretty much what @JayStarwind said. I also think it's just been so long since a female has been really REALLY snapping, that they forgot what that even sounded like. Nicki's been a total gimmick for years, and basically a pop act. Cardi, no slight to her success or anything, but she has a massive machine behind her and everyone knows how many people write stuff for her (though Cardi has basically admitted that as well, which is a big part of her appeal, her honesty). Until Megan's recent rise, it's been years since there's been a female rapper that is not only very skilled, but extremely good looking while being completely unabashedly sexy in her lyrics.

Gotcha, but we all knew back in the day Biggie was writing Kim shyt in the beginning and no one cared. Good Music is Good Music plus she was sexy when she came out.
