I would assume 1501 didn't want her to drop this album because she was either trying to throw out lackluster albums just to fulfill the contract or they wanted her next project to be an album.

I see why 1501 wouldn't want this released. It sounds like mixtape throwaways. She was due for an album that could her through the summer, not a weak "project" like this. She's gonna need a new project by June.
It's obvious she needs a dedicated A&R to guide her on picking beats, flows, etc. She's extremely similar to DaBaby career wise. But the difference is he has a Ludacris-type personality that helps when it comes to videos.
