Looks like a good documentary. One glaring issue that stands out to me though was the "crab out of the barrel" comment and the camera displaying a successful Black woman striving in corporate America. Its trailer clickbait and comes off to me as the adult equivalent of studious Black students acting and talking white. That should have been left off the trailer. You want to broach the subject, fine, but that was bad optics as far as the trailer is concerned.
Another thing too, there's a certain irony in talking about getting our affairs in order financially and still turning a blind eye to major negatives in the form of real individuals in our communities. Its not enough to say we hate or distrust each other. Some need to be told to do better or else. Whether that else means shunning, or violence is debatable. But I get especially irritated at folks who'll protest a pizza shop with slogans of "no justice, no pizza", but those same folks wont confront their own neighbors or family members who drag the community down with criminal behavior. The whole thing is a joke to me anymore.
And wsup with the random Black queen posing in the trailer? The fukk did that have to do with anything? Don't mind me. Agent Una Mas signing off.
