That's why I'm all for this battle, Mel has content on deck that deserves some attention it seems like.
As for AOD and the Ja Rule shyt, yeah it was click bait but he did say that Ja copied 50, just not in the way that Ja and everyone else took it.
He's saying that if he had kept it more light hearted/commercial instead of celebrating gun voilence it would have been a hit with more legs ala Empire state of mind.
Let's normalize having the attention span of an adult human.

I did check out his interviews from The Art Of Dialogue and the Vlad interviews too and he’s speaking some facts on a lot of topics. I’m not sure if he’s gonna rap but he’s gonna use this moment to school a lot of people.

And I'm not even saying I completely disagree, nikkas will post and hour long podcast with no cliffs so I dig. But 8 minutes isn't that long for a subject you actually care about. If you don't have the bandwidth for it pass it up.

Unlike a lot of threads, the title is exactly what the video is about. I figured tacking that on would be a little redudant.
Seems like the overall 'message' is to get rappers to have some sort of...message again. This artform is powerful and has utility beyond talking shyt for monetary gain. The person who pretty much inspired concious rap getting some spotlight is a good thing.

It's good if it does happen. We got some artists putting some knowledge in their music like Nas which is a good thing. Hopefully more follow. Maybe Mel can come back again too. He did put out one of the most important songs in the art form so i'm sure he's got a lot to say given the direction Hip Hop went.
