He ain't leaving NY , dude said before the season started that he is opting out. The nikka basically want some attention and free meals...which is cool. He just opting out to get a long term deal. He gonna resign in in NY for 18 to 20 per.

I still don't think Phil fukk with Melo like that tho.

Phil telling Melo to opt in, what if that nikka tear his acl or Achilles or some shyt. fukk opting in.

Word is Phil ain't gonna offer him max. I see Melo perceving that to be a spit in the face and leaving if that is the case.

Bulls can offer Boozer's expiring, 16th, 19th picks, and the one of the highest rated international players in Mirotic

I think considering what the Knicks are looking for.. we can offer a better deal than Houston.

:wtf: or the bulls can amnesty boozer, trade dunleavy and the 19th pick and sign melo outright. No need to give all that up for a pending free agent

Im not advocating giving up all that for Melo

Im just saying... if push came to shove, we could outbid Houston in a sign/trade situation

If Houston makes aggressively pursues this, they will need to do a S/T, and thusly could offer Melo more money then the Bulls could. We might HAVE to S/T dude if it comes down to it.

My Pops Forever RIP
Parsons, Linsanity, Jones, and a first. That's ticket sale right there. Lin is already a star and has a huge demographic in the trinstate area. Parsons will be a fan favorite instantly anywhere and jones has Lamar odom type potential ....

And we have some premier international talent too.

@tremonthustler1 what's a better international haul: Sergio Llull and Kostas Papanikolaou or mirotic?
Mirotic assuming he comes over. Remember the Knicks actually drafted Papanikolau but then traded him. They wouldn't know what to do with those type of prospects.

As for Llull, he's never coming. Let's let that dream die.

This is a non story... why the fukk would Carmelo freaking Anthony play on a 1 year contract. He would have to be semi retarded and not have an agent to have not opted out.

Please stay Melo

If Melo wants to leave....we are not really coveting any other players. Clean break. No take-backs. No one's garbage....fresh canvas.

Knicks really do need to have a true to the game rebuild, S&T Melo for late picks and tank.
It's the only way the Knicks will have a chance to become a legit chip team, is by getting young cheap talent and letting them develop or you using that young talent to acquire stars.

If you resign Melo, you won't have the cap space to get a second option; quality pg, a defensive wing stopper , and quality bench pieces, those are the type of players Melo need in order to win. Knicks don't have to worry about fans not supporting a shytty team, because they came to see Isiah's Knicks.

That's a Greyhound ticket. We're flying Delta First Class or better. Those are basically expiring deals, the chance to pay parsons and a first. No thanks.
