DETROIT -- The Detroit Pistons are set to take 7-foot-1
Darko Milicic with the second pick in the NBA draft.
Carmelo Anthony, the other player most considered in the running
to follow Cleveland's selection of LeBron James in the draft order,
canceled his scheduled workout with the Pistons.
Joe Dumars, Detroit's president of basketball operations, was
asked if Anthony's cancellation on Tuesday provided a clear
indication that the Pistons would take Milicic.
"Yes,'' Dumars told The Associated Press on Wednesday night.

Lebron and Melo were at a few Piston playoff games that season before the draft too which I don't remember seeing happen before or since then
The debate is funny but there's no guarantee of a lot of things if Melo gets drafted. The entire reason Detroit traded for Sheed was the 6 game losing streak they went on before the deadline. Im fine with how the 2000s Pistons fared. They got a ring. Forever grateful.
