The bolded is why I say it's unfair. IWW was actually a darker. And more somber album than RTD. And even his singles had content on it. Moreover. The shyt he was doin on it wasn't out of nowhere. He been literally goin down that route for almost 2 years before the album dropped. He just made sure he had that breakout single.

I definitely agree with you. I give passes to emcee's that might have a couple of radio friendly joints but most of their album has to be true to the artists or they sold out to me. IWW is not a commercial album to me at all

nikka what the fukk is ya problem? UR the one getting confused. Nas "The World Is Yours" video was Scarface themed. Nas was the only guest feature on OBFCL. Nas was doin features with Kool G Rap with songs like Fast Life. Nas called himself Escobar on Mobb Deep's Eye For An Eye. Nas was all over AZ's album with songs like Mo Money Mo Murda. Etc etc. all BEFORE IWW dropped. Ain't shyt "pop outta nowhere" which is why I said Nas got unfairly criticized for "sellin out" while Biggie didn't get alotta the hate. I mean it's a fact Nas saw what Biggie did and the love he got and decided to switch it up a lil bit. I'm not even criticizing Biggie yet u puttin on ya fukkin poms poms for no reason. Biggie made songs catered towards the radio that he himself didn't agree with and didn't wanna make. That's the fukkin definition of a sell out song. His fukkin boss made him do the damn songs. To sell more records. Which is why those records are complete opposite of the rest of the album. Those are STILL CLASSIC SONGS THO..I mentioned Nas in reference to Biggie cause of a prior discussion that was had on here a couple days ago about RTD vs IWW. The other people who u quoted were involved in the conversation as well which is why they understood where it came from. Only time I ever see u post ANYTHING is when it has to do with Pac vs Biggie. I don't understand why you guys are arguing. All @spliz is saying is that if Nas is gonna get flack for selling out on IWW...then Biggie should get the same flack.
I think we all agree the so-called sellout material is classic.
