The dynamic between my grandmother and grandfather was polarized toward opposite.

- Grandma, loud, flashy, expressive, always the biggest personality in any room she walked in, was a basketball star, would fight and shoot in a heartbeat, yet to the naked eye she was just a beautiful stylish light skin lady.

- Grandpa, ex-huslter, boxer, war vet, intuitive, soft spoken, patient, far from a bytch by any means but of the two, was the more naturally nurturing parent and had no problem letting her be the more outwardly expressive one. Definition of still water..

And that's exactly why they were perfect for each other. He was the water to her fire. Yin/yang goes beyond man/woman. And once you understand it beyond the surface level shyt, a lot of things in your life begin to make much more sense, especially in relationships.
