I don't agree with pet culture period. Animals have agency just like people. The idea of dog ownership is so gross, and problematic. Regarding the OP, a lot of men use dogs to pump up their own ego. Like these idiots who own pit bulls. Its just an ego boost. A very sad, and pathetic one.

I just find the hypocrisy laughable when you realize alot of these pet owners (male and female) are very pro pets rights.
They have convinced themselves that heaven for a dog is to live alongside them, confined by a a couple thousand square feet, and forced to roam on a leash.

But its not affecting me so i'll leave it alone

I agree.I was actually just thinking about this the other day.

The idea of making your dogs do "tricks," for food & snacks. Making them roll over, lay down, bark,etc. does not seem right to me.This one guy I'm some what sort of talking to got mad when I gave his dog a treat just because.He said I needed to make him do a "trick," first.
