Meryl Streep Defends All-White Panel: ‘We Are All Africans Really’
Meryl Streep angered many people on Thursday after she made a comment about the racial make-up of a film panel.
The Oscar-winning actress defended an all white jury at a film festival after a reporter questioned how they could fully understand films from North Africa and the Middle East.
Streep said she didn’t know much about the region but had “played a lot of different people from a lot of different cultures.” (RELATED: Madonna: Kanye West Is The Black Version Of Me)
“There is a core of humanity that travels right through every culture, and after all, we’re all from Africa originally,” Streep said. “You know, we’re all — Berliners — we’re all Africans, really.”

If that's how she truly feels...why not use that same defense and walk/campaign alongside the BLM movement? Why not be more vocal about it? Oh that's right...you only use it as a defense when ya'll need a leg to stand on for not including our cultures' movies and actors in the awards...
