Messi was developed in Barca youth system though. He was like 13/14 years old, he was picked by one of the worlds richest clubs at an early age, he got paid and they bring other world stars to the team

I will agree that saying he is clear out the best ever is a bit bold though. There have been so many great players over time that it is hard to say there is a clear cut GOAT. People who have only watched the sport for 5 years wouldnt know any better though
