i went to summer sanitarium @ the phx raceway.. great show.. r.i.p. chesterLong time legends, obviously, and one of my favorite acts in any genre.
Looking forward to this album. The guys sound fresh and like they're having fun. The chorus kinds of reminds me of what they did with Sabbath's "Its Electric" when they covered it on Garage, Inc.
I never paid too much attention on the undue hate/criticism they received by different eras of fans who possesively tried to "own them". Or that silly ass Napster outrage.
I'm glad they never did either.
I saw them live in the Summer of Sanitarium 2000. First time I was in the mosh pit and got up close to the band. A little awestruck by their performance and blown away on how great they sounded live. I was 14. Decades later, still one of the best concerts I've ever been to based on their set alone.
They deserve all the sucess they have.
I plan on going to both nights at AT&T Stadium. A "reunited" Pantera will be opening on night 1 and Ice Nine Kills will open up on night 2. Also check out Ice Nine Kills on Youtube. One of the best modern rock bands out today.

St Anger stunk. They had way too much shyt going on to try and make a record. Plus, why Bob Rock to produce?Yeah. Felt the same about St. Anger.
