Song was fly. D’angelo didn’t have many features but the ones he had were all dope. “Imagine” was low key one of the best Dre/Snoop collabs and D made it even better.

Makes me wonder what kind of joint Nas had planned (or maybe even has in the stash) with D’angelo for “It Was Written”. As a matter of fact, wonder what his collab with Meth would have been like (or is like) for IWW. Classic that could have been even more classic with the features that were teased on the sampler.

Wouldn't be surprised if "Makeups 2 Breakups" was originally Nas featuring Method Man and D'angelo. Nas is known to leave potential classics off albums or leaving songs incomplete and finishing them later. Wouldn't be surprised if Meth saw this wasn't going to be used and kept it. Song is also produced by The Trackmasters who helmed IWW.

The pre-release tracklist had Meth listed as being on Take It In Blood.

Dope clip. I was a youngin when it came out and song just ‘worked’ like a motherfukker.

Trackmasters was always hit and miss to me. They straddled that integrity vs commercial appeal line something crazy. When it worked it was great, when it didn’t it was contrived and bland.

It worked on this one, D’angelo cool as a fan on this.
