Method Man was never able to establish himself as a solo artist, early on (and always obiously) he was seen as a member of Wu-Tang, and then he started running with Redman so people looked at those two as a single unit, but at least Redman was already a legend at that point. He should have concentrated on putting out solo joints in his own lane like Ghost did.
Haven't went through this whole thread, but one gets the feeling Budden was right in believing he's been a better emcee than Meth after considering both catalogues.
He might be, but he'll never have meth's success for a couple reasons. One, he's bytchmade and stay beefing with a chick and two he doesn't have meth's charisma
The greatest freestyle radio session ever imo. Meth just takes over the whole night while the rest of them get high in the hallway and be grumpy. Ghost went for his too.

Meth said in one of those Complex in-depth album interviews, that around Forever the drugs was getting out of hand, and was messing with his psyche
