Method man was the star of Wu-tang clan and kept dropping mid ass albums. He was surpassed by odb and GfK by 97 in terms of popularity. Method man is as skilled as anyone in history really, but as skilled as anyone in Wu-tang for sure.

He never really lived up to his star potential. You see it on film now, he pops out of the screen every role he has. He has pure charisma and was wild skilled on the mic.

Far as popularity from 1993-1999 he was the biggest star i a group that had two 4x platinum albums, had two platinum solo albums and a platinum collab album with Redman, how much more do you want?

Thing with Meth is he's better in a group or collaboration setting. When it comes to a hot 16 he's as good as anyone who ever done it. Great at hooks too. But he never showed the skill for songwriting and crafting albums that Rae and Ghost did.

Wu shoulda done more small group albums like Wu Massacre back in the day. Imagine a Rae-Ghost-Meth album in fall 1997

That's arguable. I agree he should have been a superstar, but he sold a lot of records on the first 2 or 3 albums. Not like he flopped.

Huge meth fan. One of the strongest things is that whenever he rhymes with red. Red gets him like 80% of the times.
