I haven't been able to talk or think baseball
I act like this past season didn't exist
If they wouldn't have made it as far I would've been happier
I don't know it's weird
It just hurts more being that close
And knowing that we lost the world series
The royals didn't win it
Nothing short of winning it all next year will be good enough
I'm not looking forward to who we keep or who we get
I'm just at an odd place
The mets are my team
I grew up walking to shea as a kid
Waiting for the buses at 9am to meet the players and get autographs
I've been defending them for 20 years
I got them tatted on my right arm
