Can't expect fair fights out there. Someone else said it well: Combat is not a sport, it's combat. The goal is to go home, not win a trophy.
In other words, always bring a gun to a knife fight.
Ya'll think the United States was built on fair fights? Do you think the military gives any enemies fair fights?
What combat unit out there teaching soldiers to drop all their weapons and give the opponents a fair fight?
You got F-22 pilots on youtube saying if an old F-14 pulls up on one of them, then the whole fleet of F-22's around the area are about to swarm that older plane and make it 10v1 because they ain't risking one person not making it back home from a 1v1.
In reality fair fights don't happen at the highest level and in fact they're discouraged at the highest level, so why would you give them to other people who are threats to your loved ones?
Too much bullshyt can happen in a "fair" fight. It's not ideal to be "fair" if somebody you care about is at the center of one.
Only place fair fights are going to happen is a professional setting and that's if the refs ain't bought out. If you want a fair fight, sign up at a gym. You can shoot the fade and get paired with a matching weight class. Can even match someone your skill level to make it as fair as possible and the better person that day win!
In all other cases, be prepared to be blind-sided out there. You ain't entitled to a fair fight if someone's loved one or brother/sister in arms is out there fighting you. shyt you might get outnumbered when some stranger who simply going to stick up for their same race and stay on code involves themselves.
Don't be naive.
