Mexicans feeding and aiding Haitian refugees

1619-2019 was remembered a few years ago. Those 20 Africans who arrived at Jamestown were originally enslaved and en route to Mexico. Ship was hijacked.
People from Africa (including modern day Angola) had been transported over to Mexico for nearly a century at that point. Surely, some of the relatives of those Alpha AAs were sent to Mexico.

Yeah I just learned late that eastern Mexico was on the slave routes. I dont think this is something that most Americans know, though, so just agreeing and doing my small part to educate in the process!

Have you ever met black Mexicans? Since I met those sisters I met one guy, this gay dude from San Francisco who was also born in Mexico. But that's the only other native Mexican I met who was black, we all know most people we identify as "Mexican" don't look like us...

Not really, Turns out these folks dipped from Haiti after the last Earthquake all over Latin America. What happened was someone but out the bat signal that if they showed up at the boarder that they'd be let in like the essays on account of this earthquake and the President getting assassinated. They were bused to the border. There were Haitians in Colombia not far from the Colombia Panamanian Border. The Colombian goverment gave them food and water and let them walk to the border. Basically every other country sent them north.

The reason at least half of them decided to go back to Mexico is because they didn't want to be deported to Haiti. I suspect that a few will try to walk over the border now that they see that surrendering to the Border Patrol will just lead to deportation.
