Mexico (City) vs. Brazil.... any thoughts from those who have visited? Planning on checking out one of them in a few months.
I don't speak Spanish... I probably speak more Portuguese than Spanish...which is still beginner level.

For those who've visited, how was your experience.... which is better/more enjoyable?
I'm not a broke boy, so money isn't really an issue for me.

Edit: I see a lot of Americans flocking to Mexico City :/

I have been to both and Brazil is better. Brazil has better food and the people were friendlier (A lot more Black people there also). I went with my gf the last time I went to Mexico and Brazil and Brazil has prettier women, even my gf said that.

I personally get bored of cities after a couple days....there is only so much to do.... & cities are all the same more or less.....and OP says he's from the Chi already so....
Mexico is really cool and big I wouldn't recommend anyone visiting to ONLY go to Mexico City unless they just wanted a trip to act up....

Cool. I’m gonna spend 10 days in Mexico. Arriving in Mexico City but been looking into checking out Oaxaca.

I have been to both and Brazil is better. Brazil has better food and the people were friendlier (A lot more Black people there also). I went with my gf the last time I went to Mexico and Brazil and Brazil has prettier women, even my gf said that.

I’ll probably spend 3-6 months in Brazil. Bought a 1 way flight. Might even switch to a digital nomad visa or hit Costa Rica after for a lil bit before returning to Brazil.

More só culturally but it seems like ppl answered the question. Brazilians are friendlier.

I’m hitting São Paulo, rio (New Years and carnival), and Bahia salvador (carnival)…I’ll probably hit other cities too if y’all recommend them.

Yea it was because I dropped in randomly and unplanned solo and didn’t have any connects at the time so didn’t want to get too adventurous

I haven't been out of the continental US so take my opinion for what it's worth but I got a homie in Brazil who says Brazil is closed right now. He says visit at your own peril because they on fire down there right now. He is scared for his life every time he leaves the house cause the murder rate is jumpin jumpin like that destiny's child song.

Told me he was in his place one day and he heard some thugs across the street outside of their ops house calling the ops name in a sing song way, like real life is The Purge. Said he hit the cause the way they was posted up, his neighbor across the street wasn't long for this life.
