Historically our people have fled White supremacyto Mexico (Gaspar Yanga’s maroon colony) Haiti and even as far as Jamaica, all of our African brothers welcoming us with open arms. This was done at GREAT expense to these polities as it was an affront to the economic order that was slavery.

In modern times, Cuba (a majority Black nation that sent troops to Africa to fight colonialism) has accepted Black political prisoners, to the point that African American revolutionaries literally went to Cuba to train with their government and used it as a staging ground for operations (William Lee Brent, Assata shakur) Eldridge Clever fled to Africa blah blah..he’s a c00n fukk him but.. A Black Trinidadian was the chairman of the Black Panther Party after struggling in the CRM with Dr.King. An Afro Venezuela, Hugo Chavez offered free heating oil for Black low income Chicago residents (it was rebuffed.) and honeslty the list goes on…Marcus Garvey, Harry Belfoante, Malcolm X, there are way too many stories of Pan African unity in America to type.

Pan Africanism is a global struggle, its not about hand-holding or “respecting” the Nigerian man down the street when he says good morning, that’s superficial bullshyt that the Whiteman uses to sow discord.
