:banderas::wow:

$600,000,000 in 1979 would be $2,118,958,677.69 in 2020.

And Mike had that money BEFORE the Immobiliare Deal even went through. No telling how much money he had later.

The Immobiliare deal was a scam and Michael died alone and not particularly wealthy

Mike is the most successful gangster in movie history. As far as we know he never got knocked and in GF III he dies at a very late stage fairly naturally.
Who is the equivalent of michael corleone in real life?

It's even more impressive considering the fact that money really started going downhill in the 80s. Economists can cite whatever bullshyt indexes and inflation calculators they want, a million dollars in 1980 would have made you a wealthy man even in tier 1 cities, able to afford limos and country club memberships. But by the time the 2000s rolled around, a million just makes you comfortably poor.
