Um Kay i dont know if you noticed but the house is surrounded by armed body guards for a reason and its not because of my new bubble gum factory, friend. Thats not ordinary. Kay made a deal with the devil but forgot the cost. She wanted to get to the top and cash out. Michael thought otherwise.Kay deserved that and then some. She asked too many damn questions and didn't know her place.
Fredo just wanted him to go away.Michael completely alienated his family. His father was completely different. At the end, when it went to the flash back of him telling his siblings that he wanted to join The Marines, Fredo was the only one that supported him.
Did they elaborate that in the book?Fredo just wanted him to go away.
Ive only watched the film.Did they elaborate that in the book?

thats an interesting theoryFredo just wanted him to go away.

The little meltdown fredo had when michael had to tell him to play his position shows that he didnt want Michael around. Even back when, despite michael being younger, Fredo knew he was micheals son. Its like someone whos lazy on the job and suddenly a new quiet, hard working and serious guy comes on the job. Hes a threat, that you can see immediately.thats an interesting theory
it def makes sense by the time youve watched the second movie. but you dont think that before mike went off to war, fredo would have accepted that sonny was gonna be the one to take over?
obv mike gone=less competition tho
