I personally don't care who they're married to....but the hypocrisy and the amount of guard dogs that surround black women (by both BM and BW) on these issues is spell bounding.

If these were 7 black men being considered with 7 white wives we would be having an entirely different discussion. There would be a concerted, organized effort to keep them out of consideration by black women. It would expand into all of these debate topics (that become very public) about "colorism", white supremacy, and how Black men disrespect their mothers...how they disrespect Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Sojourner Truth...and how (collectively every BM) has been brainwashed.

You wouldn't hear a peep out of a single Black male or black female celebrity defending them--not one.

But Black women do it and everyone (including in the black community--both men and women) say "...who cares, there's a bigger mission ahead of us"...and there's dead silence after that.

There is truth in what Michael Eric Dyson is saying, i’ve heard too many black women that have been in my life since I was a teenager tell me that they were made to feel ugly or dismissed because of their skin color. And we unfortunately have rap lyrics by some of our biggest artists (Jay-Z/Drake) promoting the notion that lightskin is the more attractive hue on black women. We all laughed along to Kanye West’s last verse in Gold Digger because it had elements of truth in it. And now look at Kanye himself, dude so busy chasing white whores that he went “crazy” having to collect sex tapes like Thanos collected Infinity Stones just to keep the mother of his CHILDREN from being a fukking laughing stock. Its 2022 and i’ve seen first hand that young black girls are STILL dealing issues of colorism in our community and that shyt needs to stop like yesterday.


So we can all sit here and ACT like the shyt don’t stink but its still a giant turd of a mess and until we as a community decide to flush it we’re going to have to deal with the stench.


I mean do we all realize the psychological trauma that it takes for black men and black women to run to our cultural and physical OPPRESSORS for love? To actually MARRY and PROCREATE with the same people who hunt you down with rifles and shoot you like rabid dogs? Who break into your homes and spray you with bullets and face NO consequences because they created laws that protect them? Who continually deny you professional and educational equality? Who hang nooses in public spaces to remind you of a time when you were slaves? Who FIGHT to keep statues of slave owners and Klansmembers in front of banks, museums, and schools? THESE are the people you want to marry? Its sick! And we have to work on healing that sickness within OURSELVES and as a community.

Heard a lot of rappers always include some shyt about having a yellabone or redbone broad on their lap or some shyt. Kinda feels like hedging to me. They want light skin without the guilt of hyping Becky. However....that shyt works both ways. If a light skinned breh is only running through dark skinned jawns , he might have some self hate issues as well. A light breh preferring dark skin is no more honorable than a dark breh with light broads.

The crazy thing is the marriage rate of a Black Woman/White Man is so low. As they had to basically go out of their way to bypass the many Black Women judges that are overwhelmingly married to Black husband. When they started appointing these "Black Women" to these federal seats.

Its purely anecdotal but ive noticed that highly educated Black Women tend to marry out at a far greater rate. Especially in communities like Law where both the men and women have to put goals like marriage/having children on the backburner while theyre in school and then practicing. The Math simply states that after all of the smoke is clear, White Men are overwhelmingly going to be their peers and still single and childless when the BW are ready to settle down.

Unfortunately many of the very highly educated, high earnings ones also have massive superiority complexes IRR to Black Men and thats also a reason why they marry out.
