Eric Holder knowsI don't know what "do something for black people" means. I really don't.
Like I said, Eric Holder is putting in work... why does Eric Holder know what it means but not Barry? What does "help black people" mean? My problem with this shyt is that Dyson and others have no understanding of the political system, and are demanding change from the top instead of focusing on the bottom up. I've said this so many times...but are we going to pretend like the stimulus didn't include money to rebuild shyt in inner cities? Obamacare just dropped the black uninsured rate by a good amount. Crack cocaine sentencing disparity has been changed. Credit card reform.
What do they want this man to do now, with republicans in the House who wouldn't support a bill that banned all abortion and ordered gays to be quarantined if Obama wrote it?

So based on this post you know exactly what I and they mean when they say "do things for black people" if he put people in position to do it for minorities and the disenfranchised. The problem is these things that are being addressed need an actual voice, they need a face. I'm not saying he needs to be Malcolm or MLK, but these are legitimate political topics for AMERICANS and if he has a stance on these topics it hurts the movement when he is silent or hides behind others.don't forget Tom Perez at the Dept of Labor, and previous the civil rights department. One of the few truly great things about Obama's presidency is that he pretty much stacked the Justice, Labor, and civil rights departments with pro black/Hispanic/poor advocates who get shyt done.
But that's been Obama's style from day one. I remember Christopher Hitchens explaining it well a few month's into Obama's presidency. It was after he greenlit the Navy Seal response to the Somali pirate situation. Four headshots, perfect mission...and Obama didn't say much of anything about it. Despite it being the first noteworthy "foreign affair" of his young presidency. Hitchens noted that Bush or Reagan would have paraded for days, trumping up their strength. So based on this post you know exactly what I and they mean when they say "do things for black people" if he put people in position to do it for minorities and the disenfranchised. In the video MED criticizesfor not doing anything for black americans under the guise of "...not being the president of Black America, instead the President of all Amerikkka" which is an argument I see people here use. personally I agree with what he had to say here, and find it funny that he would come at Cornel West for criticizing Barry. MED went back into preacher mode on this one.
