LOL they fixed this for his character in the later seasons. OAN Good Times was basically a Black Feminism show. You got obsession over White Jesus(Black Jesus episode; episode spoke so much volume..I'm still amazed it was allowed on the air even in the mid 70s) and the strong father figure being killed off(End of Season 3; has there been another father even close to his persona on tv since? I'll wait..) and look at how bad the show fell off afterwards. And that's just scratching the surface. So much right and even more wrong with this show in retrospect.
