If their insurance can cover it, those new medicines are a miracle. Ive posted about it before, but those new classes of drugs are humanities first successful attempt to combat Alzheimer's in our history.Damn, sorry to hear that Irv…good brother man. Some sad stuff Alzheimer’s is an ugly disease. My brother in law’s mom going thru that now and it’s tough on the whole family…she seeing my nephew, her grandson, and being unfamiliar with him sometimes is scary and heartbreaking…she doesn’t want to take the medicines either.
My sis and BiL going thru it something serious right now. All respect to Mike and his wife, wish them the best
My neighbor left her husband of like 50 years or whatever after “caring for him” following his diagnosis a year ago. Didn’t put him in a facility either. Just woke up and dipped out.. shyt is fukked up. Dude is really nice and was a firefighter in New York responding when 911 took place . A real life hero. people always saw him treating her with love and opening doors for her and shyt. So she couldn’t act like they were on the rocks and shyt. She told a neighbor it was just too difficult emotionally. People can’t talk to me about no karma or all God plan bullshyt . Bro don’t deserve that. Someone did one of the health checks (one of his kids probably) and they got him into a facility now no thanks to wifeyGood thing he is still taking care of her. I've heard horror stories of families abandoning other family members after they got alzheimers. I get that it is difficult to take of someone with that disease, but that's still your family/blood

Yall gotta tie her down and feed it to her , for her own sake if you have to. The impact of those drugs is the similar to the impact of chemo therapy being approved in 1949 and finally giving humanity a fighting chance against cancer .
Remember.....
Mike can afford professional caregivers around the clock if need be.... he's not family dependent.
Not to take anything away from him.
such a cop out. i mean, to watch them deteriorate cognitively i understand but that's what you signed up for.My neighbor left her husband of like 50 years or whatever after “caring for him” following his diagnosis a year ago.
