Exactly. The bigwigs running the music industry were heated because a black artist called them on their racism, beat them at their own game, and laughed his way to the bank after buying his own masters, half of Sony and the Beatles catalogue. Mike was too powerful, so the industry destroyed him. These record labels don't want to deal with real artists (especially real black artists) like Prince, Michael Jackson, and Tupac who won't put up with the industry's bull.
Especially when they've been screwing over black artists ever since the days of Chuck Berry and Little Richard (longer than that, even).

You got the other dude (James) out here claiming abuse in a train station that wasn't even built yet
...the train station in Neverland wasn't built until way after James claimed that the abuse ended.
You got Wade claiming that he was subpoenaed to appear in the 05 trial...
...when Scott Ross (private investigator who worked on the case) confirmed that this never happened.
James also claimed that Michael tried to bully him into testifying in his defense in '05, even though witnesses for trials are selected way in advance...
and James had already confirmed that he was a non-entity in the case, having already signed the paperwork back in '93
Both Wade and James tried to sue the estate, but got laughed out of court...
...in addition to Wade's 2016 deposition leaking online, which was recorded only months before he started recording for Leaving Neverland...
And to make it even better, a lot of the claims in Leaving Neverland were a straight bite from Victor Guiterriez's book titled "Michael Jackson was my Lover". The book was proven to be ducktales ...
...and MJ successfully sued Guiterrez for slander as a result.
On top of that, MJ was never formally indicted on any criminal charges back in '93 due to lack of evidence, even though Evan Chandler tried to get him.
Chandler tried to get MJ on a civil case for neglect while MJ was on tour. MJ tried to take it to a criminal case to clear his name, but the judge denied him 6 times.
Evan Chandler was also caught on tape plotting to sabotage MJ's career and everything, which seriously brings down his credibility as well...
