NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
you called this a completed song LOL? he was ask to do this to see if there is something for them to work on. this does not constitute a co producing credit because Michael was the one who work on this shyt not Quincy. if q and mj did this together, then they can discuss sharing credit
U know what? Im playin myself for even arguing with u. U obviously slow my guy. Lol

Yeah... although cheesy, that simple lyric of talking shyt would’ve really misconstrued Prince’s manly, unsuspecting image. :comeon:
Right, Prince made an entire album under the alias of a woman:mjlol:. Its dope music but still...One of breh's alias was Camille:francis:

Prince was reaching on that and just wanted to troll imo...and likely didnt really want the fade on a track unless it was his own production and etc.

without donna summer, the song blows.. so she deserves credit enough where people know anything about the song. secondly, the the demo that mike produced needed a lot of work= this is where quincy comes in and cleans up the song. mike went over q head to get larkin arnold to put billie jean on the album was not the issue, the issue was mike did not want to spend time in the studio and polish up the song so it can sound better. the song your talking about had a bad mix, so of course q was going to reject it.

:what: :dead:at the bold, do you know how much unreleased quality music Mike has in the vault that should have been released but Mike figured it wasnt good enough (Stevie Wonder needs to release those tracks he did with Mike that we havent heard:ufdup:), Mike was a perfectionist/did not put out half ass quality. A demo is what it is, of course the next stage would be to get it tuned up.

breh,....

on the original beat it demo, I have heard.
it was damn near a complete record, that mike did himself.
plus had to lobby in its infancy to get made and keep lobbying till it was made and OK'd on thriller. It had the longest admin cycle of any song on the demo and is rightfulkg perceived as mj's actual sole creation. That Quincy tacked on his credit for after the fact. Similar to how thriller allegedly is all mj's work and Quincy pulled Admin coup and shyt on mj's credit.
this is mj looking like a joke pop kid star. when they created the whole you can not transition from a child star to adult star.

the whole entire arc of young artist who had not finished high school to be given credit as adult entertainers basically is rooted in mj and this whole period of his comeuppance from off the wall to thriller. People forget or just don't know the dynamic from that day. Like before the Motown special, mj was not mj.
so, q easily had admin sway over mj.

the whole mj creative process became pr'd to show how much of versatile savant mj was. this was all to properly credit mj when at the time he was making his adult comeuppance as a full creator.

i hear you, do you think epic records would been excited over what he created in his home studio or where they on board based on what quincy add to it. all micheal did was go to his homes studio and turn on the keyboard and tinker around with some grooves, the shyt that he did was real nice. all i'm saying is the demos need some layers, some structure. tighter hooks, tight arrangements to make it better. this is where quincy comes in as a arranger, composer, conductor, producer

i would never say the demos was half ass, i would say you need a seasoned musicians and talented producer

Word. Huge fan of both... next to Stevie, Prince’s musicianship is unparalleled, but on a track with Mike, vocally, he woulda caught that fade.
