"Thriller" had 9 songs and released 7 singles. All singles charted inside the Top 10 including 2 #1's. It spent 37 Weeks at #1. It's the first album to sell over a million copies in one week. It won a record 8 Grammy Awards in 1984. He's probably the most marketable artist in the history of music. Sing, Dance, Been in the spotlight before he was ten, he literally could do it all. His overall transition to adult star from child star was flawless. He's the GOAT.

MJ got 8 Grammys in 84, but I do believe 1 was for the E.T. Soundtrack

This was back when artists put their all into albums. You could only fit like 40 minutes of music into a record, so their wasn't any room for filler. 9 songs were all that could fit, but if there was room for like 14 it would have been even more fire
The book Making Michael takes you inside the recording process for all his solo albums...dope read. Talks about how the original master of Thriller was too long and and had too much for what could fit on an LP, so when they first played it for the company the sound quality was so bad it was looked at as a disaster and MJ cried. They went back and cut stuff out and remastered it

We didn't lose him too soon imo. By the time he died he went bat shyt crazy. Arguable child molester. Musically not the same. The whiter he became the worse the music got.

He would have just died the same way eventually. Mike was so lost in his identity. I don't think Michael ever found his true self. Which is the real tragedy here.
SHUT UP FAGGIT!!!

Like an earlier poster said...ngga always appeared to have some sort of "Bruce Leroy" glow at the time....:ohhh: Cacs trying to imply Adele was or has been anywhere near the same realm as Michael Jackson is absolutely laughable...:mjlol:
Dude was a cultural phenomon at his peak....the pinnacle of musical entertainment. Ppl of all cultures....especially cacs...passin out and having exorcist like insurrections at his shows...

Documented...grown ass men passing out on their families and being carted outta MJs shows by ambulance back in the day...only to return and do it again....:umad:

That Adele shyt keeping it a buck is more impressive than anything in music history imo. I can’t believe she sold that much in this era
I can. With the internet it shouldn’t be a problem. Albums weren’t selling like that when MJ sold alot with Thriller
